Movie 02: Ronda Rousey Story (Through my father’s eyes)

This movie is all about the UFC champion - Ronda Rousey. When she was born, she did not have a heartbeat for 1 minute, and then she cried. Looks like her fighting spirit started the minute she was born. 😊

She was not able to speak properly until she was 6 years old. When she was 8 years old, her father died. She was saddened. She then wanted to join “Judo”. Ronda’s Mother (AnnMaria DeMars) is World Judo Champion. Her mother initially declined her interest in Judo. And then AnnMaria joined her daughter to the training “Hayastan MMA Academy, Los Angeles”

Guys were hesitant to join the “Hayastan Team” because they are so rough and tough. She was trained by Gene LeBell who trained Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and a lot of guys.

The movie shows the struggles she went through. Most people in her high school bullied her as “Miss.Man.” She was qualified for the Olympics when she was 17 years old and yet the world unnoticed it and she stayed in her car. She had no money. She took a break for one year and then came back like a Phoenix bird. She changed people’s perspective of women in sports (MMA/Judo/WWE). 🥋 🤼‍♀️ 🥊

Her mom always told, “No one has the right to beat you!” And that’s very true.

Someone’s got to be number one. Someone’s got to be a doctor. There is no reason why not you.

Believe in yourself. Don’t self-reject. Be kind to others. We never know what they are going through.
