Book 04: Washingtonil Thirumanan By Saavi (Audio 🎧 book available)

This book is about the imagination of executing Brahmin marriage in Washington DC, USA. The Brahim family assists the American family to follow all the traditions involved in a Brahmin marriage with the language barrier. The author describes this story in a very funny way.

The audiobook is pretty good to listen to with the apt slang.
I can imagine how our grandparents will react and comment when they visit a new country!

Movie 02: Ronda Rousey Story (Through my father’s eyes)

This movie is all about the UFC champion - Ronda Rousey. When she was born, she did not have a heartbeat for 1 minute, and then she cried. Looks like her fighting spirit started the minute she was born. 😊

She was not able to speak properly until she was 6 years old. When she was 8 years old, her father died. She was saddened. She then wanted to join “Judo”. Ronda’s Mother (AnnMaria DeMars) is World Judo Champion. Her mother initially declined her interest in Judo. And then AnnMaria joined her daughter to the training “Hayastan MMA Academy, Los Angeles”

Guys were hesitant to join the “Hayastan Team” because they are so rough and tough. She was trained by Gene LeBell who trained Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and a lot of guys.

The movie shows the struggles she went through. Most people in her high school bullied her as “Miss.Man.” She was qualified for the Olympics when she was 17 years old and yet the world unnoticed it and she stayed in her car. She had no money. She took a break for one year and then came back like a Phoenix bird. She changed people’s perspective of women in sports (MMA/Judo/WWE). 🥋 🤼‍♀️ 🥊

Her mom always told, “No one has the right to beat you!” And that’s very true.

Someone’s got to be number one. Someone’s got to be a doctor. There is no reason why not you.

Believe in yourself. Don’t self-reject. Be kind to others. We never know what they are going through.

Book 02: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

This is a fantastic fictional book. We all have a lot of regrets in our lives. Sometimes people end up making bad decisions due to the regrets they have and because of the absence of love in their lives.

This book gives a chance to a person (Nora Seed) to adventure the experience between life and death.

Nora was given multiple chances to try different possibilities in her life. If she is disappointed in the life she chose she will disappear from that life and land back in the midnight library. For example, if she chose a life where she is a Musician, and if she is disappointed in that life, she will disappear.

Well, we can choose choices but not outcomes. 😜

Each book is each life of hers in a different universe.

If we aim to be something we are not, we will always fail!

Sometimes we can have everything and feel nothing. Let's focus on where we want to go rather than where we have been! Let go of regrets.

The only way to learn is to live!

Live your life to the fullest. Be kind to others.
You will definitely like this book if you like the concept of the multiverse and quantum science.

Movie 01: 14 Peaks - Nothing is Impossible (Duration: 01 hr 41 mins)

There are 14 peaks in the world over 8000 meters. This movie is all about the journey to reach the summit of those 14 mountains. 🏔

In the history of high-altitude mountaineering, the first person (Reinhold Messner) to climb all the 14 mountains took 16 years!!!

The fastest time to climb all the 14 mountains was seven years.

In 2019, a Nepali (Nirmal Purja) guy took this challenge and completed all the 14 peaks in 6 months and 6 days! 😮 👏🏻

This movie shows the risks involved in it and the way they handled it.

Climbing_Mountains: The edge of life and death.

This movie also describes Nirmal Purja‘s life journey, his time growing up in Nepal, to the Gurkhas, and then being part of the UK special force.

Every time he took up a challenge, he proved the power of possibility!

When we believe in ourselves, we can come alive even from the death zone!

Never give up. Believe in yourself, nothing is impossible! ❤️

And finally, don’t be afraid to dream big!

Feel free to watch it, if you like documentaries. 📃

Book 01: Thanks a Thousand (A gratitude Journey) by A.J Jacobs

In the busy world, we forget to be grateful for the things/people we have in our life. We forget how lucky we are! We never appreciate the 'good' in and around us.

I am so grateful for each and everything I have, for each and every person I met in my life. ❤️

This book is all about the gratitude trail. Started with the love for coffee (I am a coffee lover too) and ended with how grateful we should be for who we are and for what we have!

This book also gives a lot of information about so many things that's being involved in our day-to-day life and how much we should be grateful to have it. 📖📚

I have been to NY a couple of times and I was able to relate to so many stuff that came up in the book. ✈️

The next time I visit NY, I will make sure to stop by 'Joe Coffee' to have my cup of coffee. ☕️

I am glad I read it. When I completed this book, I listed the things I am grateful to have in my life. I enjoyed the gratitude trail. Hope you guys will love it too!😍

It is a ‘Feel Good’ book!
