SOAK 4 ALMONDS IN WATER OVERNIGHT & EAT IT NEXT MORNING!

Wondering why our elders tell us to eat soaked almonds? Because soaked almonds have health benefits that will boggle your mind! Packed with essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin E, zinc, calcium, magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids, almonds can do a world of good when it comes to your health.

WHY IS IT BETTER TO SOAK ALMONDS IN WATER BEFORE CONSUMING?
  • Dry almonds contain an enzyme inhibitor in the skin which is basically meant to protect the seed till it gets moisture for germination. Once the almonds are soaked in the water this enzyme inhibitor is released.
  • Eating pre-soaked almonds makes them easier to digest and also makes more nutrients available for digestion. In fact, most nuts and seeds are easier to digest and have better nutrient availability when soaked overnight before consumption.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SOAKED EATING ALMONDS DAILY?

So Cute..!!

Try it.

With the help of mathematics, I will predict how many siblings you have....

You will have a hard time believing it.

1.First, count the number of your brothers in your mind

2.Add 2 to your number.

3.Now multiply the resulting number with 2

4.Add 1 to it

5.Then multiply it by 5

6.Add the number of your sisters to it

7.Deduct 25 from the resulting number

8.Now you will get a number with two digits. The first digit represents the number of brothers while the second represents the number of sisters.

Shocked!!! So was I...?

Funny..!!

Husband and wife went shopping to get new sarees for the wife.

After seeing numerous sarees, she shortlisted around 100 and further brought it down to 25. Out of those 25, she finally asked her husband to choose 5 sarees among them.
Then she finally picked up one saree and it took almost five hours for his wife to finalize.

The husband settled the bill and commented: "Adam was very lucky because he and Eve used to wear only leaves. He need not have to waste too much of time in shopping.

Ultimate comment by wife:- Who knows how many trees Adam had to climb and finally choose the leaves as per the wish of Eve....

Never Argue With Women While Shopping.

The Burnt Biscuit :

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits."
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides - a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"
Life is full of imperfect things.......and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults and choosing to celebrate each others differences is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!
We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!
"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - keep it in your own."
God Bless You... Now, and Always.
So, please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burnt one will do just fine!
And consider passing this along to someone who has enriched your life.

Empty Chair:

A man’s daughter had asked the local minister to come and pray with her father. When the minister arrived, he found the man lying in bed with his head propped up on two pillows.
An empty chair sat beside his bed.
The minister assumed that the old fellow had been informed of his visit. “I guess you were expecting me," he said.
“No, who are you?” said the father.
The minister told him his name and then remarked, “I saw the empty chair and I figured you knew I was going to show up,”
“Oh yeah, the chair,” said the bedridden man. “Would you mind closing the door?”
Puzzled, the minister shut the door.
“I have never told anyone this, not even my daughter,” said the man. “But all of my life I have never known how to pray. At church, I used to hear the pastor talk about prayer, but it went right over my head. I abandoned any attempt at prayer,” the old man continued, “until one day, four years ago, my best friend said to me, ‘Johnny, prayer is just a simple matter of having a conversation with Jesus. Here is what I suggest...’”
‘Sit down in a chair; place an empty chair in front of you, and in faith see Jesus on the chair. It’s not spooky, because He promised, ‘I will be with you always.’ Then just speak to Him in the same way you’re doing with me right now.’”
“So, I tried it and I’ve liked it so much that I do it a couple of hours every day. I’m careful though. If my daughter saw me talking to an empty chair, she’d either have a nervous breakdown or send me off to the funny farm.”
The minister was deeply moved by the story and encouraged the old man to continue on the journey. Then he prayed with him, anointed him with oil, and returned to the church.
Two nights later the daughter called to tell the minister that her daddy had died that afternoon.
“Did he die in peace?” the minister asked.
“Yes. When I left the house about two o’clock, he called me over to his bedside, told me he loved me and kissed me on the cheek. When I got back from the store an hour later, I found him dead. But, there was something strange about his death. Apparently, just before Daddy died, he leaned over and rested his head on the chair beside the bed. What do you make of that?”
The minister wiped a tear from his eye and said, “I wish we could all go like that.”

Rain Washed.

A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in, "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said. "What?" Mom asked.
"Let's run through the rain!" She repeated.
"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated, "Mom, let's run through the rain."
"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
"This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?"
"Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!'"
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
"Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If God lets us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories... So, don't forget to make time and take opportunities to make memories every day. To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.
I hope you still take the time to run through the rain.

A Girls Letter to Grandpa in Heaven.!

Letter to Grandpa in Heaven From Teslyn - Dear Papa Mark in Heaven, I want you to know how much of an inspiring grandpa you were. I really hate brain tumors. My favorite time with you was when we were downstairs in your basement where you kept most of your marine stuff and I picked up a picture and said, “what’s this”, and he said, “that’s a picture of me as a marine” and I said, “what’s a marine”? And you smiled and told me the story. I am so proud that you are my grandpa and I am your grand-daughter. J I love you so much! J I will love you forever! Love, Teslyn

January 12, 2013 is one of those dates that will hold steadfast in the young tender heart of nine year old Teslyn. There are certain days and reflections in life that define who we are, that allow us to reminisce exact moments; when we close our eyes and remember the smells and sights of everything around us. This was that defining moment for her, a quiet Saturday morning as the phone rang; she looked toward the sky, blew a kiss and sent the angels racing to heaven to look after her “Papa Mark”. Mark was the simplest of men, always adorned in his favorite flannel shirt, whose gentle heart left a legacy of quiet strength and determination of a decorated marine. The proud grandpa; who just eighteen months earlier was diagnosed with an aggressive Astrocytoma brain tumor, fought this battle on his own terms. Even at her innocent age, Teslyn had an implausible bond with her grandpa that crafted the innate depth of her very being. Letters to heaven, stories in her school backpack, and her teddy bear handmade with his irreplaceable flannel are trademark remembrances as she celebrates his unbroken influence on her life. Teslyn’s wish is to make sure her “Papa Mark” isn’t left behind; that his life is ignited through the fire in her soul and her love shows endless boundaries.

Did You Know?

Good Info.

That's So Kind..!!

World would have been a better place to live if people were so kind and generous everywhere. Well, they don't have 1.2billion people in their country.

Heart Touching...!!

Wow

MYTHS ABOUT INTROVERTS THAT JUST AREN’T TRUE!

Introverts constitute a great percentage of the world’s best thinkers, philosophers, scientists, and artists. Yet they find themselves bullied, belittled, and misdiagnosed as being socially inept and threatening. Here are 10 of the most popular myths about introverts.

MYTH #1 : INTROVERTS DON’T LIKE TO TALK.

This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.

MYTH #2 : INTROVERTS ARE SHY.

Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert. Introverts are not necessarily afraid of people. What they need is a reason to interact. They don’t interact for the sake of interacting. If you want to talk to an Introvert, just start talking. Don’t worry about being polite.

MYTH #3 : INTROVERTS ARE RUDE.

Introverts often don’t see a reason for beating around the bush with social pleasantries. They want everyone to just be real and honest. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable in most settings, so Introverts can feel a lot of pressure to fit in, which they find exhausting.

MYTH #4 : INTROVERTS DON’T LIKE PEOPLE.

On the contrary, Introverts intensely value the few friends they have. They can count their close friends on one hand. If you are lucky enough for an introvert to consider you a friend, you probably have a loyal ally for life. Once you have earned their respect as being a person of substance, you’re in.

MYTH #5 : INTROVERTS DON’T LIKE TO GO OUT IN PUBLIC.

Nonsense. Introverts just don’t like to go out in public FOR AS LONG. They also like to avoid the complications that are involved in public activities. They take in data and experiences very quickly, and as a result, don’t need to be there for long to “get it.” They’re ready to go home, recharge, and process it all. In fact, recharging is absolutely crucial for Introverts.

MYTH #6 : INTROVERTS ALWAYS WANT TO BE ALONE.

Introverts are perfectly comfortable with their own thoughts. They think a lot. They daydream. They like to have problems to work on, puzzles to solve. But they can also get incredibly lonely if they don’t have anyone to share their discoveries with. They crave an authentic and sincere connection with ONE PERSON at a time.

MYTH #7 : INTROVERTS ARE WEIRD.

Introverts are often individualists. They don’t follow the crowd. They’d prefer to be valued for their novel ways of living. They think for themselves and because of that, they often challenge the norm. They don’t make most decisions based on what is popular or trendy.

MYTH #8 : INTROVERTS ARE ALOOF NERDS.

Introverts are people who primarily look inward, paying close attention to their thoughts and emotions. It’s not that they are incapable of paying attention to what is going on around them, it’s just that their inner world is much more stimulating and rewarding to them.

MYTH #9 : INTROVERTS DON’T KNOW HOW TO RELAX AND HAVE FUN.

Introverts typically relax at home or in nature, not in busy public places. Introverts are not thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. If there are too much talking and noise going on, they shut down. Their brains are too sensitive to the neurotransmitter called Dopamine. Introverts and Extroverts have different dominant neuro-pathways. Just look it up.

MYTH #10 : INTROVERTS CAN FIX THEMSELVES AND BECOME EXTROVERTS.

The world without Introverts would be the world with few scientists, musicians, artists, poets, filmmakers, doctors, mathematicians, writers, and philosophers. That being said, there are still plenty of techniques an Extrovert can learn in order to interact with Introverts. (Yes, I reversed these two terms on purpose to show you how biased our society is.) Introverts cannot “fix themselves” and deserve respect for their natural temperament and contributions to the human race. In fact, one study (Silverman, 1986) showed that the percentage of Introverts increases with IQ.

Adventurous..!!

Imagine walking all the way up and it's fully booked.

Experience is the Best Teacher:

The greatest teacher is an experience. It is only through the first-hand experience that any new knowledge can get fixed in the mind. It is rightly said that experience is the best teacher. Anything learned virtually is only half learned. Nevertheless, having an experience of the thing puts you in a better position when it comes to learning the concept.

It is the nature's way of teaching things to animals as well as humans. A bird would never be able to learn how to fly unless it flaps its wings. Similarly, when a baby comes to this world, he is absolutely new to the world. As he grows up, he begins to observe and incorporate things that he sees in his life. Once he picks up a thing by observing it, he begins to imitate it and thus learn from it. Unless he touches something hot, he would never know what it is to get burnt. Unless he gets cut from a sharp object or trips from a higher place, he would never understand the meaning of these things and thus will never learn that he should stay away from such things.

Accepting a theory without experiencing it is to remain passive in life. Without experience, one can never know the nature and the extent of any theory. As the famous saying goes, 'only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches', it can be understood that it is only when one indulges that one comes to know about the difficulties of a task. Whether the task is easy or difficult is a question that can be answered only when it is undertaken. For example, while preparing for an exam, if a student goes by just what is told to him by his tutor, there is no surety of his having learned his lessons properly. On the other hand, if the student has practiced and solved the lesson on his own, he will have a first-hand experience of the problems. He would solve on his own and find out his capabilities, his weaknesses, and thus get a chance of improving himself. This is learning in the real sense.

However, it is also true that everything cannot be experienced. To learn about the moon and its nature, it is not essential to go on the moon. The only way a common man can learn about such far reached things or imaginary theories are when someone tells them something about them. That means you may not have an experience of going to the moon, but it can be understood and perceived by the human mind. Thus, an experience cannot be called the sole teacher. Learning happens in an environment where the student is ready to learn what is available to him. Thus, the most important factor in learning is the interest of a student in the subject.

The first step towards learning is made only with the help of a guide. Thus the importance of learning by getting inspired cannot be ignored. It would be an extreme statement to say that without experiencing there is no learning. Learning is a continuous process. It goes on in the subconscious mind, without one's knowledge of it. Since the mind is always working and absorbing things, it has the capacity of picking up ideas and developing them as well. Thus, before you actually experience something the mind has already worked over the issue and prepared a base for it.

Thus, learning cannot be restricted to a particular manner. Learning requires a participation of the mind and body. Thus, not only is it important to experience the theories, but it is also important that the learner has a mindset for learning and grasping the things he sees.

Thought for the day:

Rejected Fruit.!!

Next time you or anyone gets a rejection letter from some know-it-all editors at a scholarly journal or a PFO letter from a job application DON'T take it personally!

That's True..

Most times, life's obstacles are just a mirage. We just have to show more tenacity, commitment, hard work and dedication to what we do. By this, we will enjoy the fun of watching mountains turning plain as we soar into achieving our dreams and goals.

Nice..

During the press conference to announce NOKIA being acquired by Microsoft, Nokia CEO ended his speech saying this “We didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost”. Upon saying that, all his management team, himself included,  teared sadly.

Nokia has been a respectable company. They didn’t do anything wrong in their business, however, the world changed too fast. Their opponents were too powerful.

They missed out on learning, they missed out on changing, and thus they lost the opportunity at hand to make it big. Not only did they miss the opportunity to earn big money, they lost their chance of survival.

The message of this story is, if you don’t change, you shall be removed from the competition.

It’s not wrong if you don’t want to learn new things. However, if your thoughts and mindset cannot catch up with time, you will be eliminated.

The advantage you had yesterday, will be replaced by the trends of tomorrow. You don’t have to do anything wrong, as long as your competitors catch the wave and do it RIGHT, you can lose out and fail.

To change and improve yourself is giving yourself a second chance. To be forced by others to change, is like being discarded.

Those who refuse to learn & improve, will definitely one day become redundant and irrelevant to the industry. They will learn the lesson in a hard and expensive way.

Nice. But, that's when the supposed change is geared towards positivity.

Great Words of Wisdom..!!

Be Kind

Yeah... Now you can see why all these countries are too developed because of people and their govt. both treat animal equal to humans and it should be like that... Saving animal is not a part of their politics but in India saving cow is turned into a hot current political topic a few days back.... We really have to learn a lot from these countries... We should appreciate those people who love animal just like their child like this man in the photo did...

THE 'MONKEY ORCHID' LOOKS LIKE A MONKEY..!!

This is the rare Monkey Orchid, found only in high elevations of Ecuador and Peru. The primate-esque flowers are formally known as Dracula simia.

Great Work!!

For blind people, recover your sight with this AMAZING glasses.

Oxford University researchers are developing ‘smart spectacles’ that use tiny cameras and a pocket computer to alert wearers to objects and people ahead.

They will make it easier for the blind to navigate shopping centers and busy train stations, and could even allow them to ‘read’ bus numbers and the computerized displays on cash machines.

The lightweight, inexpensive glasses, which could be ready for general sale as early as 2014 if tests are successful, would be suitable for most of the 300,000 Britons who are registered blind.

Elderly people with age-related macular degeneration are likely to be the biggest beneficiaries.

Clever..!!

Good Thing About RED WINE!

Red wine contains a group of chemicals called polyphenols (once called Vitamin P) which have been found to be very beneficial for health. They reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. Wine has also been found to be an effective anti-bacterial agent against strains of Streptococcus (found most often in the human mouth) which can help reduce infections. Some wine varieties have extra health benefits; Cabernet Sauvignon appears to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s Disease. In addition to the benefits already listed, wine is chock full of antioxidants which play a huge role in the health of the human body. The wines found to have the greatest benefits are found in the South of France and the Sardinia region of Italy.

Interesting Fact: Wine originated in the regions of Israel, Georgia, and Iran, around 6000 BC.

Good Thing About ICE CREAM!

Ice-cream is a low GI (glycemic-index) food. This means that it is a slow sugar release food that keeps you satisfied for a longer period of time than a high GI food. For that reason, you are less likely to binge after eating ice-cream. 75 grams of Ben and Jerry’s Cookies and Cream ice-cream contains only 114 calories compared to a slice of cheesecake with 511 calories

Furthermore, ice-cream is made of milk which contains many essential nutrients and vitamins. 1 cup of milk contains up to 30% of a man’s daily recommended intake. Other nutrients in ice-cream are biotin, iodine, potassium, selenium, vitamins A, B12, D, and K. Studies show a possible link between milk consumption and a lowered risk of arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, colorectal cancer.
